Psychotherapy

Services

Sometimes thoughts, feelings, or behavior patterns become unbalanced— and our quality of life suffers as a result. Psychotherapy can help us understand the causes, reduce stress, and develop new perspectives.

In my psychotherapeutic work, I use cognitive behavioral therapy methods, supplemented by systemic and mindfulness-based approaches. In addition to the methods of classical cognitive behavioral therapy, I am also trained in third-wave behavioral therapy techniques such as ACT, metacognitive therapy, and schema therapy. I also use an integrative approach that incorporates methods from depth psychology and systemic methods such as circular questions and solution-focused methods, e.g., to assist with decision-making.

The therapy aims to identify patterns, expand the scope for action, and make everyday life stable and fulfilling again.

Typical topics:

  • Depression, exhaustion, burnout

  • Fears, phobias, panic

  • Stress, self-esteem, perfectionism

  • Personality traits, e.g., narcissism

  • Relationship conflicts and challenges caused by major changes

  • Career topics and life decisions

The offer is aimed at private patients, self-payers, and those with statutory health insurance within the scope of reimbursement.

I offer psychotherapy in both individual and group therapy. There is usually a faster availability for group psychotherapy.

All sessions take place online—secure, flexible, confidential, and without travel.

Private health insurance & subsidies

In many cases, private health insurance companies and subsidy agencies cover the costs of psychotherapeutic treatment, provided that the relevant application has been submitted correctly. The number of sessions approved and the amount reimbursed depend on your individual tariff and the respective insurance company. Some tariffs may require a co-payment. Therefore, please clarify with your private health insurance company and, if applicable, your benefits office at an early stage under which conditions behavioral therapy will be reimbursed.

Statutory health insurance funds

Treatment can be billed through the cost reimbursement procedure in my practice. Approval of cost coverage depends on the health insurance companies and involves some bureaucratic effort. I am happy to assist you with the application.

I will provide you with all the necessary forms.

Self-Payer

If you wish to cover the costs yourself, therapy can begin immediately without any bureaucratic hurdles. Since the treatment does not appear in your health insurance records, this can be advantageous if, for example, you change health insurance providers at a later date or apply for occupational disability insurance. Billing is based on the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP) at individually agreed rates. The usual fee is €153.00 per session.

Psychotherapy costs can be claimed for tax purposes under "other health expenses" within the scope of reasonable expenses.

Experience shows that reimbursement procedures are more likely to be approved for group psychotherapy than for individual therapy.
